Today I am leaving for vacation and I found a way to pay for almost half of my trip while I am gone.

I had a customer reach out late last week and ask if I can do a job for him over Memorial Day weekend. I explained to them that I will be out of town on a fishing trip, but I gave them an option instead. I told they could rent my trailer as a dumpster and load themselves, and I will come back Monday afternoon to pick it up. I said not only will this save you some money, but you will have the trailer for nearly 4 days so you can take your time loading it. They loved the idea and locked it in. I just got home from dropping off the trailer and recieved payment. Nothing like getting paid to go on vacations!

Sometimes you have to think outside the box as a business owner. If I would have said sorry I’m out of town, they would have went somewhere else and I would have lost business. Now I have someone who may recommend me to their friends or use my business again because I was willing to work with them. Stand out from the competition and go the extra mile.
